What is the optimal temperature to place Kaukauna and Price's at for best spreadability?
We recommend placing Kaukuana and Price’s at room temperature for approximately 30 minutes before use for best spreadability. Please refrigerate immediately after using.
Do Bel products contain artificial growth hormones?
Boursin, The Laughing Cow, Mini Babybel, Kaukauna, Price*s, and Merkts do not contain artificial growth hormones.

Can I buy Bel products directly?

We recommend refrigerating all Bel Brands products. Storage conditions are clearly labeled on package.
What is Gournay Cheese (Boursin®)?
When Francois Boursin first sold his creation, he was asked to classify it for customs purposes. He chose the name “Gournay” for his cheese, naming it for the small town in France where he grew up. Today, every package of Boursin is labeled “Gournay Cheese,” the statement of identity for Boursin.
Is the cheese pasteurized?
All of our dairy-based products are made with cheese that was produced using fully pasteurized milk and conform to the legal pasteurization requirements of the USDA and the FDA.

Are Bel products made in the United States?
Most cheese products sold in the United States are made in factories in Kentucky, South Dakota or Wisconsin. We also import some products from France.
Is Bel cheese kosher?
Some varieties of Boursin® are certified kosher. Please reach out to request certification details.
What is Babybel® Plant-Based?
Certified plant-based, non-GMO project verified, and certified vegan, Babybel® Plant-Based is a dairy-free cheese alternative with a soft, smooth, and creamy texture, that was developed to taste like Mozzarella.
What type of milk is in Babybel® Plant-Based?
Babybel® Plant-Based is a dairy free cheese alternative made without milk. The smooth & creamy texture is replicated using coconut oil and each Babybel® offers a good source of calcium and Vitamin B12.
Is Babybel® Plant-Based made in the same facility as Mini Babybel® Original?
Babybel® Plant-Based is made in the same facility as our dairy-based Babybel® products, but in a separate space dedicated to our plant-based products to ensure it has no exposure to milk or any of the other U.S. FDA Top 9 allergens.
Is it okay to freeze Babybel® or The Laughing Cow® cheeses?
Please do not freeze Mini Babybel® or The Laughing Cow® cheeses, as it will affect the quality.
What kind of wax is used on Mini Babybel®?
The wax meets FDA requirements for food-safe wax. We do not recommend eating it.
Does the cheese contain any animal rennet?
No rennet of animal origin is used in our products. We use a microbial enzyme to make our cheese.
What’s the process for making Boursin Dairy-Free?
Boursin® Dairy-Free is made with the highest-quality ingredients using small-batch/ artisanal blending methods. We begin with a creamy dairy-free base that is made from coconut oil and then cold-blended with the unique garlic and herbs recipe that you find in traditional Boursin. This method maintains and preserves the original Garlic & Herb taste and intensity beloved around the world.
Is Boursin Dairy-Free made in the same facility as traditional Boursin?
We developed a partnership with plant-based leader, Follow Your Heart to leverage their plant-based expertise to deliver a true indulgent product. This was the right way for us to deliver a quality product fast. Given this partnership, we produce Boursin® Dairy-Free in the Follow Your Heart Plant, in Chatsworth, California.
What is Certified Plant Based and is that the same as vegan?
Plant-based certification is a new verification by NSF that confirms ingredients are verified vegan and facilities have proper controls in place. Dairy-Free Boursin is made in an exclusively vegan facility that has strict controls in place for ingredient vetting and process controls.
